naked palette tutorialMeet Su. New Mum of one of the most gorgeous babies I’ve seen in a long time, talented marketing whizz kid (she designed my Beauty Foodie logo) and a great friend.

I wanted to do a look using the pinky/purple hues from my new Naked palette and Su, with her gorgeous blue eyes was the perfect model to showcase the colours (oh heck, and blue eyes makes a nice change from seeing my brown eyes  all the time, right?)

SAMSUNG CSCEyes – What I did
Using a fluffy brush I dusted the colour Naked in the crease, blended quite high towards the brow bone.  Then, using a flat stiff brush, I applied the colour Toasted all over the eyelid. Using the same brush, I applied MAC’s Star Violet (pictured below) in the centre of the eyelid  to give the look some extra dimension. Then, using a pencil brush, I added the shade Hustle to the outer v to give the look a bit more drama!  I used Booty call in the inner eye corner as an eye illuminator/brightener. Lastly, I rimmed Su’s lashes with Mac’s Prunella eyeliner. This is a dark brown eyeliner with a hint of burgundy and it works particularly well on blue, hazel and green eyes.

  • Kryolan Ultra Foundation
  • MAC Pro Longwear Concealer (NW20)
  • Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in ‘Translucent’ to set the foundation
  • Nars Laguna bronzer, used as a contour
  • Benefit’s Hoola bronzer to warm up the skin slightly
  • Nars Orgasm blusher

Lips:  Maybelline’s Make Me Pink lipstick.  I had a giggle as Su instantly recognised the name of the colour “Is that the colour you wear a lot?” she asked (I mention this colour on my Facebook page when I do my selfies of my makeup look for the day!)

Hair:  Su’s hair is utterly beautiful and I’ve been dying to get my hands on it. All I did was curl pieces at random with my Vidal Sassoon Curl Secret gadget. Easy as!

What did she think? She loved it!
